Ashleigh’s fever broke today! Her temperature went down to 99 degrees after nearly a week of being over 100. They decreased the dosage of some medication, including the anti-rejection drug she is on (the one they suspected was causing the fever). They have started her on Lasix again to relieve some of the fluid build up, but this time they are making sure she gets enough water back in so that she doesn’t get dehydrated like last time. Mom said that because of the temperature Ashleigh has been sleeping most of the day, but after her fever broke today she was awake and able to turn over and move around in the bed. The doctors have decided to remove the ventilator this Wednesday, but they said that last week and then she got the temperature. So we will wait and see.
