Tonight, thanks to modern technology, Sam and I were able to chat and see one of Sam’s “readers” from Japan. Ayumi is visiting the United States and is staying with the Lawrensons who went to Japan with us, but live in Buffalo, NY.
We were really hoping to get out to Buffalo before Ayumi had to leave to go back to Japan, but unfortunately, time and money were against us yet again. But, instead of spending $2,000 on plane tickets, we spent less than $50 and bought the Lawrensons a webcam so that we could video chat!
It was great to see Ayumi again and good to hear how much her English has improved! It was also wonderful to see Leigh and Chris again (and the kids too, even though they were in bed!).
